Southpaw Jones

After a wonderfully social weekend, including 2 double dates, 2 parties, 1 downtown odyssey, 1 studio session, 1 dance performance, 1 late night Whataburger order, and 1 romantic indoor picnic of salami, olives, and cheeses, I need to relax and let my childhood self provide material this morning.

From my elementary school journal, dated February 19, 1986:

At our Valentine party we had some refreshments and some cards, and some people got presents from good friends. I gave April three pens, a coin purse, and a necklace. I gave Rustin a stamp and another friend in another grade a stamp, too. I gave my teacher a rose. I got $10.00 from my parents, $5.00 from my grandparents, and $1.00 from my great-uncle. I also got $3.00 from this week’s allowance. I had a nice Valentine’s Day.
