Thirty One Today

April 04, 2008 By: Southpaw Jones Category: Interesting? No Comments →

Happy Friday! I’m just going to post the new Aimee Mann song Thirty One Today, because, well, I’m turning thirty-one next week. It sounds like a sad song, lyrically, until you find out that Aimee Mann is 47. Then it becomes darkly funny. Dark humor is definitely one of those things that grows richer and more enjoyable as you age. God bless it, and God bless Aimee Mann. (Thanks, Stereogum.)
