CD Release Tuesday, July 29 @ Cactus Cafe.

Sorry about Monday. Preparing for a CD release is a wild experience. It is not romantic, nor quote-unquote “fun,” nor artistic. I don’t dislike the process, but it certainly doesn’t feed my sensitive Man-Soul the way writing and performing do.

I have talent for some aspects of promotion, but in others, I am sorely lacking. You know, you have to purchase lots of office supplies for those long nights of folding paper, taping things, writing brilliant copy, taking the shrink wrap off CDs, and copying mailing addresses off the internet.

Do you want to know my greatest weakness?

I can’t tell the difference between Office Depot and OfficeMax. They look and smell the same, but they offer different products. I could shop in one for an hour, and then five minutes later, I can’t tell you which one I was just in! “It started with ‘Office,’” I’ll say.

This is important, because yesterday, I was in Office_____, and they only had 2 of the 3 things I needed. So I need to go to Office_____ to see if they have a different selection, but I don’t want to repeat myself and accidentally visit another Office_____! Somehow, I think an iPhone would help.
